This month we have chosen another organization from a follower on our Facebook Page. Remember at the end of the month, we will donate a portion of our total sales to the featured Non-Profit.
We have chosen American Humane, an organization that has the mission of "ensuring the safety, welfare, and well-being of animals." They provide different services from rescue and relocation to advocacy in the movies with their "No animals were harmed" program. What drew our attention was their work in the military.
They have programs in many different avenues from farming work to conservations. Their military program began in World War I when American Humane deployed workers to Europe and rescue and help 68,000 war horses.
Today, they assist the military in many ways including helping bring home retired military dogs left overseas, reuniting these dogs with their handlers, helping veterans getting therapy dogs, and recognizing military dog heroes.
